Anyone in california w/ comcast cable intarweb having some serious speed issues today?

We were recently switched over to comcast from attbi and for some reason today, its been total crap.

It has become better as the day goes by.

I just tested on http://www.dslreports.com and I got 161/165

I'm in California with Comcast. So what? Are you saving the question for later or something? DO you want to know if my internet is slow too?

The question was segmented poorly.

The first half is in the title.

Oh and I forgot the question mark.

Grrrrr....maybe my wireless pci card is taking a crap on me after only 5 months. I will give it a few days, maybe conect the comp to the modem directly, then Im calling linksys.

Allthough my signal strength rarely drops below "Very Good" and My speed is always at 11.0 Mbps.

the signal strength is just the connection between your router and wireless adapter, not your interenet connection. and when it says 11 mbps, it is calculating that based off of what kind of signal strength you have. So just b/c it says 11 mbps, that doesnt mean what you are getting. Go into settings and see how many packets are being sent and recieved.

I understand that...I was just saying that there were no signs of the card being faulty and this point.

oh, ok. My sbc dsl does it all the time. Quite annoying, but what always gets it going again:

turn off modem, unplug router power cord, plug power cord back in, turn modem back on.

I doubt the card is bad if your still getting a signal. It's liekly either going to work or not work, not "kinda work". You may be having interference problems, though.
