Is there an easy way to search for single family homes with shops?

I can add shop to the search field but I get extremely limited results. Then I search for the same thing with out Shop in the search field and some of the results have shops. And they didn't show up in the shop search.

I assume it's a search index thing or people not adding shop to the house details.

I can't be the only one that wants a shop.

Different mls areas have different features.
MLS pin allows this HOWEVER the field only populated if the listing agent checks the “workshop” box. Some will others will miss it.
Safe bet is to shop everything and determine by discrimination/pictures if there is a work shop.
I can find a competent realtor for you if needed. Send me a PM.

If you are within 6-12 months it’s the right time but that’s your call.
A good one will screen places for you, particularly if you are moving far away. Not sure if your market conditions but near me a good priced perfect property has at most 3 days before there is an accepted offer.
I had one two weeks ago, fortunately client lost a couple of places they wanted because they thought about it too long.
On the third perfect one we saw, it was hours after it listed, I ran home prepped an offer and it was accepted the next morning.
Listing agent told me we were fortunate, she received 8 offers that evening. Beat them all by a few hours.

I'd say we are 13-20 months out. Really just keeping an eye on the area so I have reasonable expectations when we get ready to buy. It's just frustrating with the way things get listed.

Another example is selecting single story houses. I don't want two stories or "sunken" rooms but if I select "single story", some single story homes are omitted because the person that listed it didn't select single story.

We are moving about 2300 miles away.

Searching for stuff is such a clusterfuck. Some favorites of mine when we were looking for an apartment: 1 bedrooms show up under 2+ bedrooms only, studios show up in 1 bedrooms, rooms for rent show up as if they're a whole apartment for rent. Also, people checking the box for "pets allowed" but then the listing description says "no pets allowed".

So spill the secret, where are you going? I'm moving about the same distance, we might be neighbors.

Apartments are the worst, most of the info is grabbed from one site where the landlord entered it carelessly.
You are right about the pet thing, I swear the pay for services intentionally screw that up to show more available.
Regarding the pet thing sometimes a place will show pets okay but what the listing says is “one cat”

Olive Branch is the place to be
farm living is the life for me
Land spreadin' out so far and wide
just give me that countryside

Basements are mancaves. Workshops are detached just in case you set it on fire--don't want to burn the house and mancave down.
Why would you say "just in case"? If you haven't burned your shop down at least once, your just piddling around.

I'm confused... can't you tell it's a shop from the pixels?
If you are talking to me, I don't want to waste my time looking at it if it doesn't have a shop. Though I may have to and then build a shop.
