I'm trying to send someone my email address through their messaging system.
AFAIK. they don't let you do that. To avoid the entire "lets ditch ebay, and buy over paypal/email thing"
do it like this
name (at) domain (dot) com
leave the end part off
imstupid at gmail
They've really cracked down on this. AFAIK you can't use the words
yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc. in any message what so ever.
It seems to be keying off the words 'at' and 'com' in conjunction with 'gmail' and 'hotmail'. Of course @ and . are flagged too.
Tell him to use Firefox and install the addon Leetkey then enter your E-mail in binary like this. 01101100 01100101 01100101 01110100 01101011 01100101 01111001 01000000 01100011 01101111 01101101 01100011 01100001 01110011 01110100 00101110 01101110 01100101 01110100
You severely overestimate the intelligence of the average eBay user.
