Is the line of the circle for the keepers box considered in or out of the box? For the keeper to pick up the ball?

out

the line is just there for penalty kicks, no one besides the kicker and goalie can be in the box and half circle

It depends. I think the pro indoor soccer MISL includes that semi-circle as part of the keeper's box. But most rec leagues don't count that as part of the box.

BTW, are you a keeper?

Goalkeeping indoors is so much harder, especially with rebounding backwalls.

I'm not our regular keeper.. but when our keeper gets kicked out (like tonight) I play.. they only got 2 goals on my in 3/4 of the game so it wasnt too bad... yeah 1 of their goals was off of a rebound. Man I'm still so worked up I cant sleep... I wanted to bash the refs face in... it was ugly.

Btw, don't you hate it when your teamates don't play defense for indoor soccer? With a small court, don't you think it would be easier for them to run back?

I had a game tonight, 4 of the 5 goals scored on me were breakaways. I guess I suck at breakaways.

We suck.. we tried to play in a league where my wife and others could learn but the FVCKERS there lied to us and said we would be competitive... they just wanted our $600. Losing 10+ points 1/2 our games and going 0-6 so far ISNT COMPETITIVE! (only 3 on the team have played since kids, 3 have NEVER played, and 4 have played but not since they wer little)

Plus its co-ed so it can suck my left nut. 3 touches for the guys before you have to pass... girls goals count for 2 points... our girls suck so we dont stand a chance.

Whatever the rules say, the Ref's decision is final. Sorry.

FWIW, I would say that the on the line is fair game for the keeper to take the ball. I play indoor football once a week.

Soccer players have the worst tempers of any sport I've ever seen. How often do you hear of a rumble after a basketball game (with the exception of a few months ago), or foorball or baseball... But man you watch a soccer game (especiallyin Europe) and there's freaking riots all the time.

Well, I'm not sure if it helps, but in every rule book I've used for playing or refing, it doesn't matter where the hell the ball is.(indoor, outdoor, club, high school, collegiate, fifa) The keeper can grab it from anywhere, as long as while he is touching it no part of his body is on/over the white line. The keeper can reach across the line and grab the ball, he just can't step over it with the ball.

For better or worse, however, this almost never comes into play. The ball moves quickly enough in indoor that if the keeper is that far out while an opponent has the ball he's screwed anyway. If it's rolling toward him from a teammate, it doesn't matter as you can wait an extra half second. If you are in that big a hurry use your damn feet.
