anyone know what the yahoo email pop server is called?

im trying to attach my local installed email program to my web-based yahoo email account and i need a pop server name for the yahoo account but i cant seem to find what its called? Anyone have an idea what the yahoo pop server name is for them? Or can this not even be done?

Unless you pay extra for it, Yahoo doesn't provide POP access with their free accounts. Alternatively, you could use a program like YahooPOPs to receive email messages with your email client (Outlook Express, Outlook, etc), but I don't think you can send messages using your client.

yes YahooPOPs works for free... if you want better support (but not free), use Web2Pop with the Yahoo module.

With either of these apps running in your systray, you would point to 127.0.0.1 and you'll be set.

YahooPops, my dad is one of the developers (not one of the major ones, but is a forum admin for them and has fixed a few bugs)

programs is great and free, plus a great forum there to help with tech support.

Outgoing (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com (Port 25)

Account Name/Login Name: your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com")
