Anyone know what this could be on my cat?

My cat has this zit sorta thing on her head, I have to play around with the fur to find it, it's maybe like 1mm big, it's very squishy like, and does not seem to bother her even if I play with it.

Hard to take a clear pic, this is the best I could get:

I got the vet to look at it but it would be like $700 to remove it. Since it's on her head and she can't lick there, is there perhaps a product I can put on it or something? Or am I best to just get it done anyway and pay up?

She did not know, but said it did not look like it was attached to the muscle, so it's just on the skin surface. I guess she'd have to take a sample to know what it actually is, which can only really done in process of removal.

its like a Zit, not a real issue, you can pop them if you want or if your cat will let you not sure they are an issue all of my cats have had them. vets never said anything about them

One of my parents dogs started getting growths like this all over his body. We don't know what they are from but they don't seem to bother him. The only issue is when he itches they will bleed if they are in the area he is itching.

Cat is always indoors.

Also she's actually had this for a very long time, probably years, I just started paying attention to it recently as I thought it actually went away then found it again. It seems to me that it's gotten bigger though, but hard to tell. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

My dog has had something similar for years. His is actually bigger, but the vet said it was a fat nodule and wasnt something to be concerned about unless it got even bigger, started bleeding or changed color.

I googled Sebaceous cyst and other than really gross pics of incidents found in humans where it got out of control, and people getting it on their testicles (ouch!) it does look like it may be that. Either way, is this something I need to worry about if it does not appear to bother her? Should I dare trying to pop it, or is it best I leave it alone? I would not want it to get infected and get worse.

I'd leave it alone unless it becomes a problem somehow. You could also practice your surgery skills, and cut it out :^D

A shame cocaine's illegal. It would make a good local anesthetic for surgery.

Hahaha DIY surgery, I've thought of it. Though, would products like Proactiv maybe work and be safe to use? Figured it may be worth a shot.

The verb you are looking for is "scratch."

Two alternatives
1 Let the vet do it
2 leave it alone

Don't play Dr Mengele, its just a wart. Kitty would vote for #2

Then again, it might be that cancer that cats get from the rabies vaccine.

I'd leave it alone. You could probably have it biopsied or something but honestly if it has been there that long and nothing is changing, it is probably fine.
