Anyone know where to buy Scanner Lamps?

Hi Peeps,

I have an AGFA Arcus 2 scanner with a blown lamp. The part number is TL8W/84 and it's an 8 Watt lamp. Does anyone know where I could get a new one?? I've looked at Radio Shack, CompUSA, BestBuy, Circuit City and this place called Bulb Tronics... which only does wholesales... The whole sale place said that they have them but they only ship in orders of $50 or more.. and the bulb cost like $27. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Yup, i've tried calling AGFA and they said that since they've discontinued the product, they dont have any parts for it. But i can get it at a hardware store?? so would that mean like a Home Depot??

I am not familiar with that scanner, but it might be just as well to buy a whole new better quality scanner. Something to think about.... but like I said, I don't know how much a comparable scanner would cost etc.
