Yeah. I've been looking for a 6800 and the Gainward looks like a good option coming in at 400mhz. Although what does, "Golden Sample" mean? Sounds kinda, kinky...

Anyway, if you could afford either one, would you go with teh Gainward I linked to, or the XFX that started this thread?

I'm also curious on which one to get - I am looking to get one of these cards, was about to order the XFX then saw this thread - is the Gainword or Chaintech ones faster? The gainward one defintely looks like it has better cooling - would it overclock better?

It was in stock as of yesterday, I just ordered one Friday and it's en route now. ZipZoomFly gets things back in stock pretty rapidly, I'd check back again later this week.


The card has 2.2ns ram ---> see here

all 2.2ns ram is rated at 450ddr (900mhz) which means that although the card is stock clocked at 770mhz ..it will do 900mhz and likely go quite a bit higher.

I wouldnt buy anything but an evga, because you are buying at the bottom. You have 3 months to decide to get a better card then.
