Anyone like veggie burgers?

Anyone here like eating vegeterian hamburgers?

I find they taste OKAY with the stuff I like on it: lettuce, tomato, onion, salt/pepper, ketchup -- but they just don't make me feel full. I do much better with chicken breast (skinless) sandwhich or burger, which has more taste and not much more fat.

has anybody tried the BK veggie from burger king?, its like a veggie whopper. It *almost* looks good.

i love them. if you dress them up nicely with some veggies, ketchup, mustard, etc, than they are quite good.

I like them. I like to put a lot of veggies on them and it makes for a great hot sandwich.

Just so you all know. There are many different kinds of veggie burgers. Beleive me, I have had some nasty ones.

ever had the morningstar farm grillers? those are the best ones on the market, imo.

The ones I've had are great. I fry one up every morning and make a sandwich with it using some toaster waffles. Veggie hot dogs are great too, as are corn dogs.

the vegetarian "ground meat" is also really really good. i made tacos with it one time and had my friends that aren't vegetarians try them. they said they could hardly tell that it wasn't meat. lots of good veggie food out there now.

Some of them taste pretty good. I'll eat em, but only when there isn't any real meat around.

Yeah I've tried bocca burgers and the morningstar ones. Probably the two options that most resemble meat. Very tasty. I also like ones that are kind of like potatoes and relishy. Don't know the brand.


I'm not a vegetarian but that doesn't mean that I want to eat meat at almost every meal like most Americans.

You've got to be kidding? Those do not even come close to tasting like a hamburger. In fact, they don't even come close to tasting like anything that's edible.

Veggie burgers just kill the concept of the original burger. I mean, burgers are meant to be meat. Its like a placebo.

Being a vegetarian is wrong. What I don't understand is why when killing animals for food is somehow immoral, killing plants is acceptable. Plants are living creatures that make up at least half of the life on Earth, and deserve the same treatment and respect accorded to animals. There is something wrong with our ethical belief system when we can make and support an arbitrary decision to discriminate against an entire biological kingdom...

It does look good, but my friend from work who was brave enough to try it took one bite and threw it out, and he's almost a vegitarian

ever had the morningstar farm grillers? those are the best ones on the market, imo.

and they microwave in 1.5 minutes with no skillet to clean. I prefer real meat, but the grillers are a good lazy way to make lunch or dinner fast.

Boca burgers aren't that great tasting.. Gardenburgers are the best tasting that I've had so far.. not bad at all.. taste like meat.. i'd eat those everyday if I could, but alas, it's so damn expensive.. that's the price you gotta pay to live healthy..

I'm a meat lover, but at a local bar I've been eating their veggie burgers as they have more flavor than beef burgers and awesome texture.

from what I hear, they're bocca burgers.

The BK veggie isn't bad at all either. I had one with a whopper jr on the side, and the bk veggie was moister and had more flavor. The beef patty has more of a charred flavor though which is nice, but the meat was dry and pretty tasteless.

I'm surprised how much vegetarian food I've been enjoying between my beef jerky binges.

I choose to eat less meat for one reason. It takes 8 pounds of grain to produce one pound of beef. The ratio is closer to 3:1 for chicken. I see how large an impact the meat industry has on the environment. From efluence spills, to spray fields, to deforestation and erosion. Eating less meat just makes sense for the environment and hence for everyone's health. You seem to mind that I am only doing you good. How about them ethics?
