Anyone live near Aberdeen Proving Grounds?

I was just curious about the area from someone living there currently or recently. My wife is from NOVA, but she hasn't lived in the area for ten years and has never lived up there.

Any ideas on places to live, places NOT to live, quality of life, etc.? I'm fairly familiar with NOVA but not with Maryland at all.

Still need a job offer, but I figured it's best to start gathering information anyway. Thanks!

I live maybe 30 minutes from APG. As far as places to live are you looking to rent or buy? What would you be doing there if you don't mind me asking?

Aberdeen outside base kinda sucks. There are some newer developments starting up, but your best bet is Bel Air or Havre de Grace which are both within 30min of APG. Otherwise there's plenty of 'rural suburban' type neighborhoods around NE Maryland. If you like city living Baltimore itself should be too a bad commute to APG, as you're pretty much going against traffic.

I don't mind a commute, particularly without traffic. We're interested in renting at the moment, not buying.

I'm interviewing for a position with the DTC headquarters.
