as for the salary, yes, they will only be making 50g's a year... however each winning team is awarded a purse to distribute among the players. so they are paid more to win...

pretty cool, but no doubt, it will be brutal.

I'm looking forward to it (and not just for cheerleaders, though that's certainly part of the attraction!). Perhaps they'll have some players interested in PLAYING, not just looking forward to free agency and a new, larger contract. Getting tired of the whores in the NFL (not that it's any different in other pro sports, though).
