I don't know about all you guys, but I still miss the old white pepsi cans, they were awesome. Of course there was always the risk however of thinking u were purchasing regular pepsi and realizing u accidentally picked up diet.

What do you all think?

Never a truer word spoken. It reminds me of the commonly known freaudian slip: "to each his own", not to be confused with the less known "187 time, time to grab the glove."

I remember those. --The sex cans. I don't remember exactly how the X came, but TRUST ME, it was there, unmistakable.

Anyone know of a link to a picture of one of these cans? I doubt there is any, but it would be nifty if there was.

I remember when it was "Pepsi Light" before Diet became the buzz word.

Oh, yeah, remember "Pepsi Free" , and of course, someone will mention "Crystal Pepsi"

Better throw a can of "Pepsi ONE" in the archive for later viewing too, that one won't be around long

Yeah, I miss the old Pepsi cans. The old steel ones with the peel back spout.

BTW redly1, wasn't Pepsi FREE first? I seem to remember my mom drinking that one a lot and I'm 30 now. Back when they used to Saccarin.

That might be a little older than me.

I remember in the 80's making my mom get "Pepsi Free" because it was caffine free.

"Pepsi Light", hmm, where do I remember seeing that...I think it was in the original "Back to the Future" movie, but that seems too recent(1985). I know I saw it somewhere...

Now Saccarin, that's a trip way back. Big scare from that in like '78 or so

I remember when Canadian pop cans were thick enough that it was hard to bend one with your bare hand. Then they switched to those wimpy thin American cans. Like tin foil.

When I lived in Canada, I remember the cans were quite heavy. We drank mostly Shasta sodas for some reason. You needed a can opener.

No, Redly, the pepsi in Back to the Future was Pepsi Free. Marty asked for a Pepsi Free in the diner in the 50's, and the man told him if he wanted a Pepsi, he would have to pay for it. That was the whole point.

And Denis, are you really THAT weak, or are Canadians really STUPID enough to waste that much metal on a can? Good Lord.

Maybe a little off the subject but Cokes in a bottle from Mexico are the best! I don't know why but they taste so much better than the US vintages.

That's right! Pepsi Free was the caffeine free stuff. Thanks for reminding me!

The thick vs. thin was a transition that was made in the US too. I've never been to Canada. We went from thick to thin in the seventies. Was that really still aluminum? I didn't think it was thick aluminum, I thought it was steel.
