Anyone notice a difference between Netflix and Amazon Prime?

The prime interface definitely sucks. It still drives me nuts that they separate each season of a show, so my recommended list is like 7 entries of the same show (one for each season). Netflix figured this out years ago. It's annoying enough that I don't use prime, and don't recommend it to anybody who's just looking at it for streaming.

I actually send in feedback to Amazon about this. Their reply was basically, "Thanks for letting us know." I think it might be something fundamental in their system, like they buy and show shows based on seasons, not the overall series. For some shows, you'll see some seasons are Prime while others aren't.

ISPs figured out they can squeeze netflix for money why wouldn't they do it to other major competitors (amazon)?

That's my guess.

Although they currently pay for privileged bandwidth, Netflix has lobbied heavily in favor of net nuetrality to end the need to do so, which would be the benefit of everyone.

Nice, but doesn't help my situation at all.

I think I'll fire off a note to Amazon with the particulars and see what they say. The Instant Video is at least 50% of the reason I have Prime, if it isn't going to work decently I'll probably not renew it next time around.

For whatever reason, NetFlix works for a while...then goes into "loading" mode...and hangs at 25%...until it says something about my internet not working. (even though the network is working just fine) Exiting out and restarting SOMETIMES works...but not usually.
I can load Amazon Prime Video and that never happens. (but Amazon's library of available shows sucks)
