Anyone out there have an sblive running on an IWILL ka266?

I would like to know because I cant seem to get liveware installed and even downloading and installing just the drivers from creative locks up my pc. However I can I can load the drivers manually and they work no problems only I cant figure out how to enable the 4 speaker support so my FPS2000 will use all speakers?

I thought It was just because maybe I had an old revision of the ka266. and I RMA it for the new revision ver 1.3 that supports vcore adjustments and vmem adjustments which I love by the way but still cant get liveware to instll without locking up my pc. or the drivers that support 4 speaker sorround lock up too.

I couldnt seem to get liveware 3 installed on my ka266 for my
sblive value card without the system locking up in win98se.

even tried just downloading the drivers and they locked up too.



so I got an RMA and the board they sent me back is the latest rev
board -05 ver 1.3 it supports vcore adjustments in the bios and
vmem adjustments on the board by jumper also has the bios version
of 12/27/00 so its alot newer than the old rev -03 ver 1.1 that I
had.

so the first thing I did was try to install liveware 3 and the
same thing happens.

a little box pops up and the only thing it has is a big ? in it
with a yes and no button. If I hit no the instalation stops If I
hit yes the pc locks up.


The download only drivers lockup the pc when installing no
warning at all.


The strange thing is that I can install the drivers manually in
device manager and they work great except for the fact that I
cant use 4 speaker support with my soundworks FPS2000 speaker
system. because installing the drivers manually wont allow you to
do that.


Anyone got any suggestions



The card worked great in my other two systems and liveware will
load with it.

The onboard sound Has excellent sound and I would just use that
only I use record with a mic and chat alot on it and it doesnt
sound to good with the CMEDIA chip and I also use A program
called battle com that allows me to chat to people while playing
a multiplayer game. And It doesnt see the Cmedia onboard sound as
a FULL DUPLEX card so It wont work.



Does anyone have any suggestions.

I just spent the whole night on the phone with creative tech support. and
finnaly got a fix

They suggested a million things that ive already tried and nothing and then
this one tech said try installing liveware by typeing in the command prompt

setup /w


and guess what it worked

and now I have liveware 3 running fine

where he got this fix I have no Idea

I wonder if there are other switches?

I wonder why they dont have these switches on some text file on the cd?

I wonder what the /w switch actually does?

any answers?

I have just found out last night by using this trick to get liveware installed. and now all of my ultra dma has been disabled and cannot enabled it could anyone give me some tips on this.
