If it wasn't for my 30 yr old ex-roomate going 7 years without even 1 date I would say you all are lying about being old and never being on a date.

This is so true. My brother is only 5'3", but he never let his size slow him down. Stop using your size as an excuse, and do something to change. It won't be easy, but if you really want it, it will be worth it.

Tried that. Problem is, short asian women want to date tall white guy, not short asian guy like myself.

I know as many asian girl married to a white girl as asian girl married to an asian guy.

I have a a korean friend that's 5'3" and gets women all the time. Unlike you though, he's a very confident guy (not rich). Mostly white blonde women though because that's what he likes best but asian girls hit on him all the time as well.

Well the friend I was referring to is really outgoing. If he sees someone he's interested in, he doesn't hestitate to go up & talk to them. Sociable, funny, and a good conversationalist.

true. i am asian too,born,bred, and currently living in asia. in fact my parents sent away all their kids for education to the states and i am going to canada. this is at age 18. unless you live in a vlillage most parents will happil;y get rid of you. do youi have a job ?

While I can feel your pain, I have no good advice to give you. Perhaps get involved in a church? Lots of single women there. this thread makes me sad. its really hard to explain to someone what to do when you're in a situation like that. the best thing i can say is to make some friends and go from there (i.e. then you'll go out more, etc.). take steps to feel better about yourself (work out; that may seriously be your key).

I don't know, but at a certain point in my life I realized that making friends with females is easier than with males? Who knows, but when you get to that stage, I'm sure you're ready....

If you're 30 and you haven't been out a date yet, there's not much to lose. Go for it, and try something you've never done. I know it takes a lot of guts, but once you do it, maybe you'll realize it's not so bad afterall.

i am surprised so many ppl without wife's GF's. really i think these ppl keep there standards too high. won't date fat chicks, ugly chicks, smelly chicks, poor chicks. imo if you dont have much to offer someone don;t expect much in return.

how hard is that to understand? I can't afford to live by myself. I grew up in poverty and still live in poverty. My parents didn't have money to send me away to school and I don't have the money to move out.

My parents don't have the money to send me away to school, either. So I am getting aid and getting loans for the rest. Sucks but you have to do what you have to do. Why was that not an option?
