did you make fair, balanced trades to acquire your newplayers or did you just add them to roster?

Yes, and I just beat the Royals with the Orioles, 4-3 with a ground-rule-double by Sosa. Pretty damn good game...

How's the online play this year? Last year was pretty good, minimal lag but rare.

all of my trades were done with fair trades on.

glavine, seo, heath bell for mark mulder and cappelan (!!!!)

zambrano, yates, minor league sp (top 100 prospect) for kazmir back

cameron for swisher and byrnes

floyd and 2 minor SPs for urbina and farnsworth

wilkerson for a minor leaguer and tony clark (who i signed)

steve reed was a free agent

i added all the FA's that weren't added in the game (delgado to florida, ordonez to detroit, loiza to washington, etc)

ill give some tips in the next post

ok tips for pitching:

pitching:

vary your pitches and work the corners...

if ur pitcher has a good 4 seamer and changeup (like scott kazmir for example) those should be your two main pitches, then u can use a curve or pitch with movement out of the zone if the count is in your favor to induce a strikeout / pop up

if they have nasty movement without much velocity (like rob nen for example) try to work the corners with your sliders, curves, slurve, (insert other movement pitches here) while mixing in fastballs and changeups if they have them... steve trachsel has a nice forkball also for example

if im pitching with a man on first i'll try to throw a lot of low breaking balls in the zone to induce a DP, with matsui and reyes playing the MI they can turn some nasty DP's

finally vary the intensity to keep your pitcher in the game, don't always gun the gall

hitting)

the biggest thing that took me to get over is don't use the directional pad unless your trying to slap the ball in a direction (ie runner on second you can try to slap it to the right side to move him over if u dont want to bunt)... just hit the swing button at the right time and the batter will hit the ball if its in the zone... take advantage of the swing replay and try to swing during the "green" time.

when the pitcher releases the ball it will flash red if its gunna be a curve... that's a pretty good feature... thats all i can think of

hope it helps
