I took a $2000 downswing last month. That sucked. Still managed to finish up for the whole month a healthy amount though.

Do you multi-table? 30K hands/month w/o multi-tabling is a lot more than a full-time job. It's close to 10 hour days 7 days a week. Of course, if you can play 4 tables at a time, you can cut it down to 4 hours 5 days a week.

Clearing 3K at 5/10 in two weeks is ~2BB/hr which is very good at that level. If you can do that at 4 tables, you would be clearing $80/hr, enough to live very comfortably on.

He would have to be multitabling, even though 6-max tables play a lot more hands per hour it's still not feasible to play that much on one table.

I realize that. I was assuming 100/hands per hour. 6-max might be more but it can't be that much more. 120/hands per hour perhaps which means 56hr weeks?

Sounds like the cards have been running well for you then. Is this .25/.50NL?

Yes, I 4-table. I try to average 1000 hands a day which is about 2.5-3 hours but I haven't been able to play that much this month. I only have about 10k hands in so far this month giving me a win rate of 2.66BB/100 actually. My long term winrate over the last 36k hands is only 1.1BB/100 though because of a large downswing I had last month (200BB). I am pretty sure I am better than that.

Oh, and rakeback (28%) adds about .6BB/100.

This is also more money than I make at my full time job ($13.5/hour).

Bodog can be a good site right now. Bet365 has some nice FREEroll tournaments for real money quite often (there's one on Sat at 2pm, I think...$20,000 guaranteed and lots of places get paid). Might be a good way for someone hesitate to deposit money in to get some starting cash.

I've been meaning to start doing some more tournament play and heard bodog was good for it. I think I may check them out.

Looks good. Hey 1.1BB/100 4 tabling is not bad at 5/10. I've heard the best pros hope to make .5BB/100. Of course, at 4K/8K limit, 4K/100 is not bad.

nah .05/.10, the cards have been good, but the idiot players have been better at these limits everyone's a calling station, and any monkey can wait for AK/KK/AA and get paid off by the morons

I've played Party Poker, Poker Stars, Paradise Poker and Ultimate Bet. I like UB but use Pokershare. It uses ultimate bet skin and will pay you to play poker.

They also give you 100% first deposit bonus upto $250 which is pretty good and have a good referal program also.

I play at PokerStars (2/4... 3/6 if I can't find a good 2/4 table) on a regular basis. I usually net about $30/hour as long as I don't play too long. I need to be doing something in addition to playing poker or I get impatient and start playing bad hands.

I haven't played PartyPoker in over a year. There is too much mysterious sh1t that goes on there... I've never seen so many straight flushes in my life. Been playing PS since then and things are much more "honest", per se.

I play IRL about once a month. We had this twat at work who kept committing to the game but then hours before would cancel each time. We kicked his ass out real quick, and now he wants back 'in'.

"You were never 'in' to begin with. Go away."

I play on PS and PP. Though I just blew my bankroll at PP with the new Blackjack game... Can anyone send me $0.15 to to my PP account? I need at least $1 to play the micro table and rebuild my dignity.
