Anyone Playing CoD: World at War yet?

I've been playing it for..2 days. The animations seem very awkward. Trying to shoot some one on the run is near impossible and knife fights are mostly 50/50 now. The hit boxes are also unforgiving which makes killing someone while their running a royal pain in the ass. Bolt action and rifles are only good for stationary targets.

The spawn points are not the same as COD4. Seems like you're always surrounded and there is no front line. Some say that's good, but I find it annoying. Maybe it's just something I'll have to get use to. It's a bit too cartoony with the movements and animations for my taste , but maybe it's for the better.

as said in the other thread regarding a WWI game, i'm sure there's plenty of other stuff they happened in WWI that they can take from to make the game.

That's WWI either way this title should be worth a play when it's on sale for $40 at BB or something.

I know. THe poster 2 up said they should make a WWI game.

How about a cowboys and indians game???

I'm not. I supremely enjoyed COD4; it was incredible! I love Modern Warfare. However, I wanted to see a World War 2 version of COD with the graphics of COD4; so this is great! Also it's a Pacific setting, which is also nice. I played it on my friend's XBOX 360 last week and it was awesome! I can't imagine what it's going to be like on a PC ;D

After this, I'm hoping they go to Vietnam as someone stated earlier. There are really no great games for that war. But I also like this move because we don't know what's next; we'll just have to wait and see!

There was a game set in Vietnam called Battlefield:Vietnam. Did nobody enjoy that one?

I would so play this. Humans get bows and spears and advanced teamwork. Neanderthals only get clubs but they have super strength and endurance.
