Anyone pre-order Xbox One X?

Just curious, the pre-orders opened yesterday, a number of them sold out but I think there are some available.

I am definitely an Xbox supporter, but I am waiting for a better package more suited to my tastes, don't really care for the Scorpio special edition. I am sure I will get one eventually, but I will be giving it a while.

I'll get one, but not going to pre-order. I already sold my Xbox One months ago to get a good price out of it before the price drop when Scorpio releases.

For me, Microsoft's system has the appeal of backwards compatibility and convenience. Here's a system that will soon be able to play very nearly every must have game in Microsoft's 3 generation history in addition to 4k modern gaming and the ability to play hdr 4k bluray movies on top of it. That's a lot of value in one box. If I wasn't already a PC gamer (and wasn't broke as fudge) I'd probably get it.

I considered one when I first got my 4K TV, but since I don't play my Xbox One often, I didn't see the point. The One S already handles HDR Blu-ray playback, which is what I wanted more. (An HDR Blu-ray player costs $200 too.)

Preorder... no, but I'll getting rid of my xbo-s very soon and using that money to buy an xbo-x during the holidays. I'd be surprised if we see a sale price. The PS4 Pro last holiday had no specific sale price or bundles, best deal was tax free or Target cartwheel PlayStation console coupons.

I suspect since MS is more aggressive, they'll at least be an unofficial bundle from retailers. I'll be waiting for either the tax-free or Target Cartwheel once again.

I was talking with a buddy about Xbox One X over the weekend during that MS press conference and had no clue that it wasn't even out yet. I thought it came out a while ago lol. They were hyping up Record 4k like it is some new game.

I don't think they'd be able to drag me away from Mario Odyssey on the Switch and Horizon Zero Dawn The Frozen Wilds on PS4 this holiday anyway. I already have a UHD Blu-Ray Player so I don't have any use for its extra features either.

PS4 Pro and a PC. The exclusives will all be on PC and (should) play a lot better on them. No point in one if you have a gaming PC imo.

I just tried to pre-order one and they are sold out. Sold out (or at least, the link doesn't work) at best buy and amazon too. Only gamestop seems to be taking orders but I refuse to support that company so... I guess no x one x for me

I won't preorder but If I can get a good trade in value for my Xbox one i may do it just to see what it's like. I mainly game on my PC now and PS4.

I have yet to finish horizon zero Dawn and then I'll probably get the dlc for that, and I still have nio to play too, followed by uncharted lost fortune which i picked up last week.

I pre-ordered the Scorpio edition. I don't know if I'm going to cancel it or not. I mainly play on my PS4 Pro and I only have an Xbox literally because of Forza, because there's nothing on Playstation even close to Forza, but other than that there's nothing else making me want to play on Xbox over PS4. I really don't like the way they made the Xbox One's system software. Everything is just laid out wrong and cluttered. Also to me, the Xbox One controller is a step back from the perfect 360 controller and this generation I prefer Playstation's controller. The PS3 controller downright sucked compared to the 360 controller, but it's reversed this generation. I have a 4k TV and Forza really looks awesome on it and $500 for the amount of power you're getting is definitely worth it but $500 is a lot to play one game but I'll see how much I can get for my existing Xbox One.

I remember a few years ago they were offering like 100-120 for trading in your old system at best buy. I traded in my ps3 and the controllers and it got me $120 off the Xbox one at the time that was like $299 or so. I haven't been looking to see if they have any similar trade deals. I just like having the latest crap for some reason.

The trade in value for an Xbox one is absolutely atrocious. $140 for a 2TB S model while a basic launch PS4 is $175. Not that it's much better but I'd think an Xbox one s would be more valuable due to other factors. So far I haven't seen any trade in bonuses toward it either.

If you're a member of their rewards program Gamestop is paying $230 store credit for the PS4 Slim and $225 store credit for the OG PS4. Some people on the PS4 Deals reddit are using that deal to upgrade to PS4 Pro.

Yea that's crazy. Guess I won't be trading mine in for that amount unless best buy has some other valid discounts. I gave my old PS4 to my brother before I bought the pro.

I think that's only more recently for people buying it for UHD Blu-Ray too but then I think there has been more hype for PS4 games and well, Gamestop is a game store first.

Hm, that is a tempting way to upgrade to the PS4 Pro. I do have an HDR-capable 4K TV, and I've heard games like Horizon Zero Dawn are rather nice with HDR. I guess my only question is... if you bring one in for sale, what is required? I guess it's pretty much everything that came with it? Just wondering if I can keep a controller or anything. I do keep all the boxes and junk that come with my consoles.

Also, what if you trade in two consoles? I replaced my Xbox One with an Xbox One S, and I don't know if I want to keep the original one. The older console is far less energy efficient... even when in sleep mode. If I wanted two Xbox Ones, I'd really prefer just getting another One S model instead. (They're also just physically smaller!) So, with my old PS4 at $175 + $50 and the Xbox One at $100 + $50, I'm at $375, which is only $25 shy of the PS4 Pro.

Hell no. My XB1 gets turned on once a year...maybe. Why waste more money when my PC can do it all and more? Now if PS4 came out with yet another upgraded I would buy that. I already have both the PS4 and PS4 Pro.
