Anyone read comic books?

I have never really been a big fan of comic books. Of course I have read Calvin and Hobbs and other comic strips but I have never picked up a comic series. Does anyone here read comic books? What are you reading now? Do you have any recommendations on a particular series that I can pick up and start reading?

Pick up the trade paperback or complete bound series of whatever you're interested in for a complete story.

I am currently reading the Dark Tower series that Marvel is doing based on the Stephen King books. It is excellent and it finishes telling the story of Roland's childhood. I'm actually enjoying these more than the final three books of the King series.

Return of the Dark Knight by Frank Miller, the Sandman series from Neil Gaiman and almost anything by Alan Moore.

+1 for anything by Alan Moore.

I was a huge fan of Spawn. The Hellblazer series is really good.

If you like funny stuff I'd get Deadpool and Cable.


Here is a word of advice. Most torrents have huge collections of comics and you can get a reader pretty easy.
