Anyone really like the music in a song but hate the lyrics?

Psylence, just some insight but I think the lyrics of that song could be interpreted in a number of ways, not neccesarily anti-God, but using God as a metaphor for something like money, fame, etc...

There is a band called Black 47. Their music is basically Celtic Rock. I loved their music until I listened to their lyrics and realized that they basically think all English people are devils. Real ignorant stuff probably on par with white supremecist metal

The name alone is the first indication that the lyrics are awful -- R Kelly knows it too, he starts laughing at the end of the song because he's run out of things to say. But the beat and the music are good.

Actually it's not an anti-God theme. Maynard wrote the song to an old girlfriend of his whose views he didn't agree with. It doesn't say f*** God' it says 'f*** YOUR God'. Maynard has addressed this in several interviews and stands by the fact that it is not an anti-God or anti-Christian lyric, his intentions were otherwise.

actually SOAD's lyrics are pretty inspiring. Most of them(other than peephole, which is about not getting caught up in drugs).

Well, not the people... just the English government. Ever been to Scotland or Northern Ireland (around Belfast)? That's some scarey stuff. I despise the IRA's tactics, but I do understand why they fight.

Oh... wow, I'm way off subject. Ummm... I like Garbage, W/R Zombie, and Tool's music, but don't care for their lyrics.
