Actually, I do understand why some American Indians are pissed off. But in truth, the vast majority of their gripes are ancient history. For the most part, Native Americans have it pretty good... sure, some don't, but they do have the oppertunity to make their lives better via special scholarships and grants. There's no one holding them back anymore.
Northern Ireland is a completely different matter. Their plight isn't "ancient history", it's a cycle of hate and death that's lasted for over 400 years. I sympathize greatly with the Irish (and Scottish) peoples that are persecuted for their religious beliefs and ethnic background. They have every right to protest and fight for their rights (we did), my problem is with the IRA's terrorist policy. It's simply wrong and unjustifyable.
Edit: And, by the way, England isn't "their own country".
