Anyone recognize this artist?

Does anyone recognize the person in this photo? She is claimed to be a famous singer by a local newspaper (I'm not telling you who), but some people think otherwise.

The closest person I can think of (and i am sure i am really far off) is Aretha Franklin.

She looks similar to Aretha Franklin, but the space between her front teeth and the mole under her nose don't fit. Any other ideas?

So some photos got swapped. How do you know that the person in the original picture is anybody famous at all? She could be the cafeteria lady in a local high school for all we know...
