G2 has been my favorite phone I've used the G3 only in the store but it feels too big. Has anyone moved to the bigger phone and regretted it, I don't play any games so speed isn't an issue for me.

Is there a reason why you want an upgrade from the LG G2 to the G3?

Performance/battery life/cpu... it's enough for any "normal" person... only reason to upgrade would be removable battery and expandable storage

Had the same question myself. The G2 is the best overall phone that I have had. It really does everything I need. I'm with holden j caufield in that the G3 might be a touch to large.....

I have the G3 and I haven't had any issue with it. Bought it 4 months ago and its still running like a champ. Camera and video is just great. The G3 has the SnapDragon 801 processor from Qualcomm. Phone in general preforms pretty good. Battery lasts more than a day, depending on how much I use it. Since I play games and stuff I have to charge once a day. I went from my HTC ONE MAX to this G3, its not too big and its not too small for me. My opinion its a good medium size phone for this decade I would say.

I only ask because the g2 ran 2 days for me, had a good size and was the first double tap to wake phone I used. But like everyone else I went to bigger android phones. N4-> xperia -> g2. Not sure any bigger is ok as I have average sized hands.

Due to the WQHD resolution on the g3 the g2 is actually on par or faster a lot of the time *and* it has better battery life. Unless you're dying for higher resoltion, or a marginally better camera I don't see any reason to go g3.

If my g2 didn't die I'd most likely stick with it at least until the Note 5. But since it's dead, I think I want to go back to samsung and go with a Note 4 or wait till the s6 comes out. I wouldn't go to a g3 because of what Midwayman said personally.

the slightly larger screen is so much nicer than the N5's. I don't regret jumping one bit

I went from a G2 to a G3.

The G2 has a noticeably brighter screen, feels faster (probably thanks to the lower resolution), and has a much longer battery life. For my usage, I'd say the difference is at least 50% greater.

The G3 has removable storage and removable battery. I personally preferred the bigger screen, and the physical difference in hand (because of the tiny bezels) all but disappeared after a week or two of use.

I bricked my LG G2 and decided to get the G3. I liked the G3 with the bigger screen and resolution but I found it a bit laggy and the sharpening bothered me a bit. There was also some backlight bleeding so I decided to get the Note 4.

Note 4 was ok but I don't like the AMOLED screen. Looks flat or overly saturated, depending on what screen mode is on, and I also have to worry about screen burn in. Samsung's software also sucks and is loaded with bloatware.

Somehow I got my G2 working so I sold the Note 4 and now I'm back to using the G2. It's still fast and the screen is very nice. I'll use the money I got for the Note 4 to get the G4.

Have you seen all the deals happening on Slickdeals (via Ebay) on G2s? I picked one up a while back, sold my 32gb nexus 5 for $30 more than I paid for the G2 on Swappa, and haven't regretted it one bit. (The N5 was the first Android phone I'd used after 4 Windows Phones in a row, and the battery life made me want to smash it to bits. )

It looks like the price is back up for now, but keep a watch on SD. Can't beat that price...

Ya i saw those deals, but since im in canada it simply wasn't worth it after shipping/taxes/exchange rate.
A friend was getting rid of his the other day so i jumped on it, slipper little ah heck she is, gotta order one of those quicksand cases for it.
Im a bit puzzled why there are so many varieties of it while only 1 or 2 of the nexus 5, this also splits up rom development which means the canadian version has the least amount of roms. Only a handful of lollipop roms are available, seems like resurrection remix is the only viable rom for me.

Cool, I picked up a cheap Poetic Palette series for $0.01 + shipping on Amazon, and it took care of the slick back without adding any bulk. I'm also still stock right now and running smoothly (I have access to the final release Lollipop build for the AT&T one). Changed to the Google Now launcher, and aside from the icons being a little large for a 5+ screen and the pain in the butt of not being able to fully remove the stock bloatware, I'm good.

An unfortunate run-in with a linoleum floor forced me from a Lumia 1520, so I'm missing that screen real estate, too. Although, it's kind of nice to have something ever-so-slightly more pocketable.

my back pockets are big enough I think. I've been using back pocket for a while now. I feel so much better about myself that way, coolly wedging the phone in when I'm done, sliding it out when I get a text. additionally I've also added e-cigs to my repertoire. My left hand has a watch and my right hand can have the e-cig. The blue LED on the end is lame but I'm willing to trade it for the black matte barrel. compliments my euro-tool dressing style with 5mm cubic zirconia^H^H^H^H^H^H^H diamond earring and j-crew look. I wear polyester underwear with choice every day in colors navy blue, black, red, and dark grey with Adidas Samba shoes.
