So the big secret is that there is an interdimensional war between our universe and a more advanced one? And could that be where the teleported guy went to from the hospital bed (another universe)or did he zap back to his prison cell in Germany the hard way?
I don't know if you could see it on standard def, but on HD I could make out stuff about the 'multiverse' in the ZTF book.
I wonder what the word Ability meant when the wacky doctor typed it at the end, and if the mistruck Y meant anything.
Looks like MAYBE we are seeing the series premise?

Spoiler alert, of course

I think that Walter wrote the manual. If you look, when he's reading it at the end, the 'y' at the end of ability (I believe that was the word) wasn't aligned with the rest of the word. When he typed ability on his typewriter at the very end, the 'y' was misaligned in the same way. I think then he realized that he is the one who wrote/typed up that CTF manual.

I'm still not sure what happened with the guy in the hospital room.

I like this show so far, but do understand that you pretty much need to watch every episode. Regarding Walter and the typewriter, we may find out that he hasn't written that ZTF thing yet, or we may find out that he has already written it in the other universe. Given that this seems to be a war with two sides, it's not yet clear who the other side might be (though my guess is that it's Massive Dynamics).

I watched the first few episodes and lost interest. I like JJ Abrams and think Josh Jackson is a good actor, but this show didn't have enough action or drama and science can only carry 60 minutes so far. It sounds like it's gotten more interesting recently though so I'll probably take another look.

i really like the show, but then i find all that odd/weird, sci-fi-ish, paranormal, conspiracy stuff pretty interesting. i loved the x-files also and this is a lot like it. you definitely have to have watched every episode from the beginning. this is not a show you can just jump into halfway through.

definitely looks like walter wrote the ZTF book or at least it was done with that typewriter. i'm also not sure what happened to Jones in the hospital. i don't think he was teleported out because the wall in the prison was just scorched, not destroyed. there also weren't any scorch marks on the hospital wall. walter said it had unthinkable side effects, but it was not death. unfortunately he never said what those side effects were.

Yeah, I wonder what she looks like out of those man suits.
She dresses on the wrong side of Dana Scully.

I saw it...i've watched the whole season. My girlfriend really enjoyed the first few episodes. I thought they were crap, but better than the reality shit she usually watches so I went along with it.

The show got progressively better and better.

Last nights episode was off the hook good. Its like Lost and X-Files made a baby. I loved it. As soon as it went all warring universes i was hooked.

i dont know if bishop wrote the ZFT or if it was just the type writter-remember Bell was his partner and he may have written it.

Also, it could have been Peter who turned off the lights- not Olivia

Cant believe its not on until april

I thought so too until Olivia got the call that said she was also in the experimental program. Of course, the Massive Dynamics lady may have been covering up for the fact it was really Peter for some reason. It is possible Peter was given the drug as a child too, maybe by his father.

I think Walter wrote the ZTF manuscript. As Pontifex stated, Walter said that teleportation had side effects. When his lab assistant asked, he said it was worse than death. I think he mutated or something like that.

You have to watch several episodes to get the jest of where they're going with the conspiracy theory.

Abrams obviously loves to dabble in time/space type of shows.

SPOILER ALERT:
I work at Massive Dynamics, and I can tell you as FACT that we're holding information back from that blonde agent chick. I'd let you guys know more about this but those tools from the parallel universe would be onto me and our plan for economic domination would be ruined. When it's safe, I'll let you guys in on more later.......

BTW, Walter wrote the ZTF manual....in the future!.....:Q

Well that explains it. You wouldn't know quality programming if it beat you in the head with a 2x4.

I must say that they milked the first season well since they didn't even reveal the true premise of the show until now. That said I have generally liked the series (8/10). My only complaint was they had too many formulaic episodes.

a. Something wierd happens, someone dies
b. Oliva & crew investigate.
c. Dr. Bishop says something like "I theorized back in the 70s that ... "
d. Olivia follows normal FBI investigation techniquest.
e. Dr. Bishop racks his memory & proves his theory (this is the part that really gets me, no one is right that often).
f. Bad guy(s) are caught.

Oh yeah, I also concluded that Dr. Bishop wrote the manuscript. I do believe that Olivia (not Peter) Passed the first test there at the end. I have no idea what happened to the German scientist (some sort of mutation, but why is it worse than death).

I love this show. It's got to be one of my favorite shows on today. Also, I agree with Sunny D above, I mean seriously IHateMyJob? Those three shows? Lost was alright until somehow there were other people on the island that lived in a obvious camp that they somehow didn't discover, and then when they decided they all had to go back to the stupid island. I have never seen Heroes, but I have heard that it blows. And The Sarah Conner Chronicles?? Really? I think at this point in time it's a little too late for a sitcom based on the Terminator.

Moving on, I believe that it really could be Peter as well, and Massive Dynamic is covering for him. I think that the company will turn out to be the Good Guys in the end, and be the front-line in the mentioned inter-dimensional war. I also believe that Walter and Bell were like the "Commander in Chief"s of said army until Walter got locked up and lost his mind, so it's completely possible that he wrote the ZTF and just possibly forgot about it like all of his other experimental work. All in all it's shaping up to be an excellent season, and i'm anticipating the return of new episodes in April, although not too patiently.

So the show actually goes somewhere. I suspected it would but wasn't sure when, or if considering how many other similar shows don't. Looks like I should give it another try. Though it seems to have too cold of a reception to last?

Welcome to AT.

Yeah, the last episode was awesome... Here's the conclusions i drew:

Something odd....at the end, before walter gets the typewriter out, astrid asks him about the teleportation device, then says "It's too bad that it kills you." He responds, "Kills you? It does something unthinkable, but it doesn't kill you." WTF is that? Could that actually be the "Ability" that is being referred to? I think, whatever allowed jones to escape from the hospital, was not teleportation. Previously, it never caused damage to anything. I think it was a side effect of the teleportation process on the body.
