I saw it last week and distributed copies to workmates also.
Great Vietnam footage, swift boat pwnage with Lt. Kerry at the helm, some of the period music is awesome, cool story about a bunch of determined heros
vs Nixon, And seeing the story of kerry getting to make his speech for the Foriegn Realations Comittee as a young protester/decorated American hero made
me actually proud to cast my vote for this giant of a man.
It even has a clip recorded in Nixons oval office where they refer to young Kerry as a Demigod and a new JFK.
That man has lived a long brave life and is once again trying to stop the forces of corruption from killing more
of his "Brothers" He has been fighting the good fight for ages it seems and seeing him stand fast when young like he does to Bush now in debates is a eye-opener!

Stay up for it again I found it slow the first time I saw it at the start but it gets waay better after the early part of his life.
the part where they were under attack by vc and Lt. Kerry turns the SB's around for the guy in the river had me and my girlfriend at the edge of our seats bullets whizzing into the water I recommend 5.1 stereo system.
I thought it made f-911 look like a budget flick. This should go to cannes or something.

Video neophyte question: I downloaded this file twice (once the direct link, once the bit torrent). How do I watch it? Windows MediaPlayer 9 reports unknown file type error, Winamp just sits there. I got the full file (632,804 KB, MOV format).

Ideally I'd like to convert this to an AVI file so I can burn it to a video CD and watch it over my DVD and TV (and pass copies around). This worked for the Jon Stewart Crossfire show (which came as an AVI file).

if its a mov its a quicktime file. install quicktime or itunes

Thanks for the response. I recently had to reinstall and forgot I didn't have QuickTime installed.

BTW, I found a freeware/shareware proggy called Rad Video Tools that seems to be doing the trick on the conversion.

Just finished it.

So some of the scenes are re-enactments? That Kerry himself did? While in Vietnam?

John was thinking Camelot when he shot that film, absolutely.

You-all missed his rather deliberate Kennedy speech patterns when he addressed Senate Foreign Relations Committee, when he ?ahsked? questions? After stints in boarding schools overseas he had an accent that strong that he instantly lost?

You-all missed that his conversion from enthusiastic warrior to peacenik was staged?

Have any of you ever read or heard of the speech he really gave @ his commencement from Yale (1966), not the one that's in the yearbook, the one he really gave, that was a blistering criticism of American foreign policy & the Vietnam war before he went to Vietnam?

Sigh...
