Agreed.

It wasn't as good as Ocean's 11 - not nearly as funny nor was the plot as interesting or suspenseful. It was even somewhat predictable. But still, a good, solid movie and, considering the options right now, it's worth the money.

i thought the complete opposite. while italian isn't a perfect movie by any means, oceans eleven just bored me.

i thought it was very good. The car chases were excelent. I thought it was well worth the $5 I spent on the ticket. Who cares if the plot isn't as thick as a 300lb women; it was fun!

Just saw it yesterday - thought it was a pretty good movie - I enjoyed it a lot and chalk up another person for "Chalize Theron is hot".

I just saw it last night. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was a very well done movie.

I've seen the original movie a couple times. The only parts I enjoyed in the original were the classic Mini Cooper car chases. And I like Michael Caine. I thought the rest of it was pretty corny. And the end was absurd.

I think both movies have their good points, but I think the remake is a much higher quality film as a whole when compared to the old one.

The only reason they didn't do it in Italy was cause teh cars too fat to fit between the Veranda's.

Maybe you should take the time to watch it before automatically assuming that it's no good.

I'm not a huge fan of the new Mini's either. The look and driving feel of the classic Mini will always be special.

But, at least they weren't using VW beetles in the new movie.

One thing I picked up on, is they said "but how are we going to do this?", and then Charlie said "We'll do the Italian Job", as a reference to the original, with the Mini's.

Of course, it doesn't beat the original, but it has so much of the same (changing the traffic patterns, mini's down tunnels (the subway this time) etc). I think the cliff-hanger (literally) ending of the original was brilliant, because you never do know if they got away or not. The ending of this one was corny, as you see everyone get what they want, and the lead gets the girl (surprise surprise). A cliff-hanger "do they don't they?" ending would have been much better IMO

very uninspired. the whole movie was a big cliche. apart from the decent car chases, and charlize theron being very hot, there is not much redeming value about that movie.

I like teh new Mini, I even have a video hosted on Mini2.com of the Cooper S Works, which toasts any other Mini you can buy.

I'll prolly see the movie when it comes out in the UK, so's I can bitch aboot it.

Just saw it last night (don't ask me why it took me so long). Charlize was hot (obligatory remark) ... you'd never believe she was "discovered" while throwing a tantrum at a bank IRL... she's a damn good actress too with her facial expressions and emotions.

Oh yes... the movie... it was slow to start, but held my attention for every minute after Sutherland got capped. Typical, but very entertaining.

LOL @ Seth Green mouthing the dialogue between Handsome Rob and the real Becky.

Shoot. I must be the last person to see this movie. I thought it was great! Ocean's 11 only started to get interesting near the middle. I thought this movie was enjoyable throughout. And the car chase scene was realisitic (I heard the actors actually did the driving...or at least some of it), unlike the CGI-everything in Matrix Reloaded. And they didn't leave you off with the nasty "to be continued" feeling. Glad I picked this over T3 yesterday.

Yes, yes, Charlize is hotter than Claire Danes, but you should still see T3 eventually.
