Anyone seen in print anywhere the date of X800XL AGP parts ship?

Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has seen a ship date for these cards anywhere. I have read several articles and they say agp parts will come, but alas, no dates specified. Thanks for any news/comments.

I believe ATI won't bring the x800 xl into the AGP. It will strictly be PCIe.

your best bet is the 6800GT, or if you want ATi, the x800XT or x800Pro

awww crap well thx anyways. If this is really true, its unbelievable that ATI wouldnt use this opportunity to cut into 6800gt sales, with this being priced lower and have a comparable performance level

Gave up on ATI after their "promise" of the XT this past summer...6800GT all the way, brutha.

ATi has REALLY been pushing PCI-Express, it's no surprise that they decided not to go with AGP

I think they realized this because nVidia's latest 6-series pretty much OWNS the Radeon X-series when it comes to price and performance

ATI is rumored to be bridging these cards back to AGP with their 'Rialto' PCIe->AGP bridge chip. So far it's just rumors, though; nothing firm. I wouldn't hold my breath.

Will both companies release next-gen cards in agp? Or are they going to start heavily pushing pci-e? I think it's stupid to do that when 80% of computer users have an agp slot. It's almost like they're partnering with mobo manufacturers to create a "false" demand for pci-e motherboards..

Probably to some extent -- but I wouldn't necessarily count on ever seeing anything faster than a 6800U/X800XT in AGP. It might happen, it might not.
