Anyone seen insomnia yet?

The only problem here, is that with the 2 actors that it has, I was expecting it to be GREAT. Unfortunately it was only about 3 stars IMHO. There isn't much suspense as far as the "who done it" aspect, but you definitely do want to know what's next. Great acting, good story, but no suspense. If you enjoy Pacino and Williams, you should see it in theaters, otherwise just wait for it to come to video.

I wouldn't say it was great. Good, yes. Hillary Swank is cute. Al Pacino does a good job as usual. Robin Willams does not make the best of enemies/not the best drama role for him.

Did anyone else know it is a remake of a 1997 foreign film?

it's a great movie if you're in the mood for a story. it's not thought-provoking, holy hell i didn't see that ending coming memento, which is why i think people say it's not living up to their expectations. also you'd expect more from pacino and williams, but they played their roles extremely well. the story's great- it's just not suspenceful, quick paced. it's the classic detective story, i really enjoyed it

has anyone watched the original Insomnia, 1997? multiiple reviews have commented on the original's ending being better than the Nolan remake...anyone care to PM me with a briefing of this ending?

I saw it last night, and my friends and I agreed, waste of $8. I thought it was rather predictable, and not entertaining at all. I had heard it was supposed to be excellent, but it just did nothing for me. I'd rather just watch Law and Order or Medical Detectives.
