Anyone shave their head?

Tomorrow morning will be the first test with the safety razor.

Should I use a fresh blade or one with a few shaves on it?

Definitely going to use a fresh blade next time. No cuts but I didn't get it as clean as I'd hoped.

What are you guys using afterwards? I have some alcohol free post shave balm, is there anything better? Or do I just wait for my skin to toughen up?

That water burned like a bitch afterwards. I wasn't ready for that.

tough it out; after a week, you will have no problems.

Wife has me go bare until cold hits and then let it grow out for winter.

Every other day, I just use a safety razor in the shower

Just be super careful about going sideways, especially in the back. Its pretty easy to slip with the headblade, in my experience using it. You cant see behind your head, obviously, and if you get to close to your head as you move over to shave the next row, you end up slicing your head open good. Blood everywhere, towels a mess, wife upset. Best of luck!!!!

Edit: The other thing I dont like about the HB is the diminished control you have as opposed to a regular blade like a Mach 4. At first it seemed like a good idea, for me. But as I used it more, I found that I was using the Mach 4 more and more to touch up the places the HB cant go, like behind your ears and on the side of your head to the point where I said fuck the HB and went regular razor exclusively.

I shave my head, of course I work outside too so there's never a tanline. Just shave it on a weekend and spend all day in the sun.
