In my opinion the dangers of a propagandized population that divorces itself from reality and is untouched by objective fact are so great and dangerous, given the new scientific evidence regarding conservative brains, that the rights of unencumbered free speech as we allow them to be practiced now need to be questioned.
Germany no longer allows the Nazi party to gather together or to speak because the last time they did it killed somewhere upward of 50 million people and cost trillions in cold war militarization. The problem with that. of course, is that the most mentally ill and rebellious youth in the nation, in the search for confirmation they are as worthless as they feel, will gravitate in that direction.
This is why the best cure for propaganda is education and training of the mind, self love and self respect that form honest and open self examination. The aim of society should be to train people how to be objective. The problem, of course, for a consumer culture like ours, based on the satisfaction of delusionally induced need, is that you would not be able to sell such people anything they didn't really want.
So we need and nurture our brain dead so some those with the cunning and position ad will to manipulate minds of such people can get rich. We build the economy out from our zoo cages.
But every so often the animals that are the food want to become the feeders and they begin to get uppity. And the propaganda machine goes into action to keep them in their place. There will be no transfer of wealth from one group to another, the society will be stratified and those divisions maintained. The old cream will try to keep new cream from changing the rules.
And one rule so many wish to play by is that speech is money, that those with the money should lead the propaganda drive, that the wealthy should be the ones who set the rules by which your brain functions, they are the ones who know best how to inculcate your brains with the rules of your mental prison, that any voice that speaks from the dark and the other is the devil who wants to destroy you.
I say no, the situation is hopeless, your minds are already gone, there is no saving you from the mental prison in which you live, but we could change the rules so that always and everywhere there should at least be two opinions given to every propaganda situation, that every opinion source HAVE TO allow other voices to directly challenge what is said, that it should everywhere be at least Hannity and Colmes and not only just them but others all paid for at tax payers expense. And the one topic that needs to be covered over and over is how the human mind is manipulated. Now go back to sleep.
