All depends on if you can afford it easily. To me 225 bucks isn't much at all but to some its a lot of money

But yeah, no need to keep an old product, better just make lower-end new products for completing your arsenal.

With the 2500k hitting $170 at several major retailers here in Canada I see no reason to go with Ivy. Just pocket the $70 you will save and buy more memory or an SSD.

I can get higher intel burn tests with HT off but I was just showing 100% full load.

Any high clocked 2600k will out do an ivy,if you have a 2600k there is no reason at all to upgrade,enless you want to lower your bench scores

Its funny how all these people say they are hitting 4.6-4.8 on ivy without one screen shot of intel burn test running,heres a hint,it locks right up lol

Even on high end air, Ivy is too hot. Even good water cooling is only so much better than high end air.

lets see some intel burn test results with 8 threads on some ivys
