lets see some intel burn test results with 8 threads on some ivys
Anyone still considering Ivy Bridge?
I glanced threw that but did not see any test using intel burn test with avx on.in my testing intel burn test is over 10c higher load than linx or prime.
X2.I'm planning on building a itx lanbox this Summer to replace my old i5 750 lanbox that I have passed onto a family member. I'll probably get a 3570K. The cooler temp and less power draw (dont plan to OC much if at all) is attractive to me.
Micro Center has them at $190! I may just grab one. I would presumably have to do a BIOS update.
They also have 2600K's for $259. Also very tempting.
Don't even jest. Intel could really EOL it and then we'd be up a creek.
I am still NOT considering Ivy.
Linx supports avx, its the same thing as IBT (intel linpack) with different ui.

no intel burn test is not the same and will load the cpu a lot harder than linx
try it out with latest version of ibt will hit higher temps.
same ram used and waited 15 min between runs

I am getting 3770k
Smart choice, especially going from a 2600K.
