That wasn't the opiate, kid. You are just a moron. Opiates don't cause hallucinations or such deep perceptual shifts.

Actually, because certain opiates bind to sigma receptors (which are reponsible for hallucinations, among other thigns) extreme doses can cause hallucinations. If it could to that extent, I don't know, but excessive doses can cause visual and auditory hallucinations.

I had the insides of both of my big toes operated on to eliminate in grow toenails.

Then in Boot Camp I got another one (on the outside this time). The "Corpsman" sprayed bacteen on it till it was FROZEN, took a scalpel and sliced into my toenail about a 1/4 inch from the edge and then RIPPED IT OUT BY THE ROOTS!

Needless to say, I NEVER went back to get "THAT" treatment again. Since then I have always just done it myself with a Exacto knife and some hemostats. (At least I can tell when it's gone too far!! And I have NEVER made myself bleed like that butcher did.)

oxycodone is mu-opiate and its effect at the sigma receptor is extremely minimal. The doses i'd imagine required to cause hallucination would have killed him from respiratory suppression.

Yes, but to accurately measure the amount required to cause hallucinations you would have to know his medical history and current prescription drugs. I'm merely pointing out that you don't have the required information to say that he didn't experience hallucinations. In the majority of cases, you are correct, but there are people out there who can easily experience hallucinations from opiates.

Hydrocodone up to 15mg is schedule III. Mabey you are thinking of that.

Now, 3 or 4 hydrocodone and some wine and you've got yourself a fun time!

What about muscle relaxers? Valium does nothing for me. Like taking placebos. I take 4 valium in a sitting and I get nothing. DAMN MY MEDICATION TOLERANCE!!!

Best painkiller/relaxer I've ever used? You guessed it...good ole mary jane.

I took a vicodin and I was just gone (this is back when I had my tooth pulled, not now).

Now that oxycodone is kicking in with a vengance. I feel really weird.

The bottom end of those things is worse than any nic-fit I've ever had.

With my knee surgery, I was getting the downs 3 times a day. Strained the relationship a tad.

Well, I just took this one to be able to sleep tonight. It doesn't hurt as much as it just feels weird. Kept me from sleeping last night.

This should be the last one I take. Waste of 18 of them.
