OMG, you are absolutely right. I didn't notice that. My bad. One less thing to grumble about with Newegg. Next grumbles are how they keep changing their site around as soon as I become comfortable with it. Oh yeah, plus some of their warranty policies.

Hi all - seems Reseller Ratings is no longer accepting reveiws for Moanrach.. Must be locked to aviod falling any futher.

I've ordered from Monarch 3x all three were unsatifactory.

1st time was a video card for jr for Christmas and I ordered in plenty of time, the first week of December. With my usual Mwave and ZZF 2 day shipped experiances I thought nothing of it until a week later I had'nt received the card. Come to find out site still showed "in warehouse" I waited another 3 days same thing "in warehouse" Still hadn't shipped. This is the 15th of December by now so I'm getting comcerned because it hasn't shipped yet and I was afraid I would'nt have what he really wanted in time for Christmas. Called, no answer. So I just ordered from ZZF and it got here in two days. During that interm I called over three days and only got though the day the ZZF card arrived, still had'nt shipped of course, cancelled my order.

I have two more incidents but they are about the same so I won't bore you anymore. I left negative RR rating for them and three strikes they were out no matter much play they get in these forums and others. Never will I order from this irresponsible company again.

heres a capital idea some1 setup a company likes of zzf, newegg, mwave, monarch but on the border of ca and nv.. but have it on NV so no sales tax for us californians.

Try Tankguys they are in Michigan and about 50x more reliable and service oriented.

Actually that sounds about right.

Sounds right. I ordered some stuff through Amazon (techdepot or something, part of officedepot, those Plextor SATA DVDR drives) and the order was cancelled, but they never refunded the money (over a MONTH). Went to Amazon's site because that's where I placed the order, but no phone number to call, just said "please resolve this through vendor." Contacted vendor and exchanged a couple of emails, and their CSR basically said, "you paid through Amazon, contact them." Instead, I contacted my CC company.

Well, I bought a opteron from them monday, and I just got a fedex notification that it shipped, and will be here by friday. It did take them a couple of days to ship, but at the prices those opterons were, I think it was worth it.

This is a company that does everything it can to avoid refunding your money. I ordered an am2 x2 4200 mobo combo and cancelled it the following day. They never responded to my emails or the stupid question forms. Their phone lines are always busy, and to top it off, their CSR lied to me. He promised me I would see the money in a month. It's almost been two. I can now tell my mom to contact her credit card company to force it back, but I really want compensation because these guys stole my money for 2 months. My mom has suffered interest fees, and I have suffered because I can never order anything online again. She blames Monarch's incompetence on me.

Good lord, we are upon the age of the apocalypse.

I ordered an Opty 165 from Monarch yesterday, and they shipped it TODAY. On time shipping? Unheard of!

Only took them 4 tries to actually do things right

It's very possible that M/C is monitoring this very thread, very closely...Interesting,

Did anyone see the notes as to why RR isn't accepting anymore ratings from Monarch.

From the link here

Resellerratings Administrator Notes
9/27/2006: We have detected and removed 37 fabricated "Very Satisfied" reviews for this store which were submitted between 9/8 and 9/23. The party responsible for submitting those reviews is unknown. We are therefore putting a freeze on new review submissions for this store for 30 days, until 10/26/2006.

Wow, owned.

That's sad. I ordered my AMD 4400 X2 MB combo from them last summer, and everything was great. It's too bad that they have to be as low as artificially inflating their ratings.

EDIT: I guess I will be shopping at Tankguys or somthing. Newegg is great and I have ordered from them as well, but tax isn't very appealing. Tankguys are great with customer service in my experience.

sounds to me like someone has a problem with MCS and is not playing fair.

a) we have a whole bunch of newebies posting how HORRIBLE Monarch is on this and other forums
b) we have someone posting a bunch of false posts on resllerratings to get them banned

I mean damn they have let me down before who hasn't? no one is perfect. But these "horrible close them down" posts are all newbies hmmm?

This is a bit interesting, I found that there is a Mr Fox trying to destroy a monarch butterfly habitat in CA. hmmmm makes ya think

Why are you defending a retailer with poor customer service? No one is insisting on "close them down." It seems like MC is providing bad service consistently, and why should we, as consumers, settle for that? Like I said, I have had only good experiences with MC, but then again, my last order was summer of 2005.

Tankguys and Newegg hasn't let me down yet. If something goes wrong, they step up and try to resolve the issue. It doesn't seems like MC does the same thing.

Not defending, I said they have let me down, so has a score of other resellers internet and B&M. Anyway, I am just saying that something is fishy here.... doesn't pass the smell test.

Thanks for the info on Monark and especially on www.resellerratings.com.

I was screwed last year by ecost.com, and now I know where to register my dissatisfaction.

There are too many good e-tailers out there for us to put up with scumbags.

Thanks again

Monarch Computer Systems categorically denies the accusation of this individual who has chosen to perform a ?hit job? on this family owned company. Monarch has not been contacted by any agency or government entity threatening to close the company down or issue a restraining order.

Monarch has investigated this post, which has been repeated on a number of forums, and linked it to a customer from April of 2005 who ordered a combo containing an AMD chip. The order was delayed due to an error in the chips needed for the combo being shipped to Monarch via ground rather than air. This error was not due to any mistake on Monarch?s behalf. Nevertheless, the customer canceled the order and Monarch refunded it the same day. Why nearly a year and a half later the customer?s anger and resentment at a seemingly minor and routine delay that happens to many companies in our line of business has resulted in these unwarranted attacks is beyond us. There has also been some discussion that an individual with such a grudge could be capable of making the postings deemed suspicious by resellerratings that resulted in the loss of 37 ?very satisfied reviews? from our rating and the account being closed.

Luckily the legions of happy and satisfied customers make up for the rare but inevitable cases like these. We sincerely appreciate the legions of loyal, satisfied and happy Monarch customers who have supported our company over the years and especially in the face of such bizarre attacks.

If you are having an issue with a Monarch order, we encourage you to contact joe@monarchcomputer.com who along with Sterling has been specially charged with seeing that no customer falls through the cracks. As an aside, Monarch is in the midst of a customer satisfaction campaign. We discussed this several weeks ago, here.

Why am I not at all surprised?

While I do not doubt there is further proof, here is one of the aforementioned threads on another forum, which is word for word verbatim (including the unoriginal signature).

Thank you for the clarification, Joe.

Edit: here's another.

A couple of bad apples doesn't make the entire tree bad. Every company has had its mishaps. Not every company will try to correct what they have done through actually making contact with their customers for feedback. Every forum I am registered on I have found a Monarch rep that will talk to customers, take advice, help them with questions, etc.

Monarch seems to be improving to me. They are reaching out and trying to correct their mishaps and in my opinion they are doing a damn good job.

I have been a customer of Monarchs for quite some time now, and I will continue to be. They are making a sharp turn in the right direction.

If they want to improve their customer service they should think about answering phone calls, and responding to emails from their customers.
