I like audio books and normally buy them off iTunes for ten bucks a pop. I'm interested in getting a subscription service so I took a look at Audible.com. I figured it was like Netflix or Napster, but that doesn't seem to be the case:

The Audible Gold plan is $15 a month and gives you 1 credit a month. 1 credit = 1 audiobook. I don't get it. Is the subscription mostly for the discount?
