Yes, I have it. I would recommend it with some caveats. The concept of lifetime unlimited long distance for a onetime upfront cost will be attractive to some users. It's also portable in that you can take the device anywhere you have a broadband connection and make and receive calls with your number. You own the number as well as the device. International calls do cost extra but the rates are very low for most countries. There are some other useful features as well, including its extensive voicemail functionality, call-waiting capability, caller ID and the Scout expansion. And as far as VOIP solutions go, this one feels most like using a landline since you simply plug any phone into the device.
However, voice quality is just ok. It's not horrible, but not quite as clear as a landline. Also, I find the Ooma musical dial tone to be annoying, although this is purely personal preference. Finally, some calls, such as those answered by an automated system, get disconnected sometimes, specifically when you get transferred. Doesn't happen a lot, but worth noting. Oh, and it's not exactly the cheapest option out there.
Also, some of the usual downsides associated with a VOIP solution apply, like being completely dependent on a working internet connection.
