The only computer that I have right now is my girlfriends netbook which would drive me insane to do any sort of project on. Resumemaker.com seems like I can use any browser or my phone/tablet to build something and runs about $20-30 bucks depending on the version.

There doesn't seem to be any solid android apps to help me out, this seems like the best route, unless there are other sites out there?

Are you serious about getting a job? It doesn't seem like it if you are resorting to using a phone/tablet to write it out. Not only that, but you know it's a terrible idea and you have to ask people advice on whether a certain app works well on it. It's like creating a presentation with graphs on the iPad. I know Apple says you can do it and I am sure you can but what would be better and quicker? iPad or a computer?

You can't find a computer to use? You can't go to Kinko's and pay a few dollars to rent their system? How about the library with a copy of MS-Word or Google Docs?

Depending on the netbook, and what kind of tablet you have, I would go for the netbook; at least you get a real keyboard. I personally would hate to build a resume on a spartphone, but if that's all you have then I can't knock you.

I would try and find a template off the internet and just fill it in using the netbook, at least most of the formatting would have been done for you.

Is it really that hard to make a resume on a netbook in abiword or google docs? Perhaps just go to your local library?

I can do all of the above. That wasn't my question. Thank you for bumping my thread though.

Its slow, has a tiny keyboard, and is too small to properly format a page sized document. I'd rather just plug in my info, and get a formatted document. In my line of work, the resume is only a formality. The interview, references, and on the job performance determine whether I'll get and keep a job.

I don't live in the same office/corporate world as everyone that has responded so far.

Dude just go to the library or a UPS store and find a template and plug away. No need to spend $20-30 on something you *should* already know how to do otherwise.

Here are my two cents, unsolicited advice that you didn't ask for:

Don't do it. Be professional, write it up in Word and print it on decent paper (unless you're emailing it, then make a PDF).

I get that you're a bartender, but sometimes professionalism is the difference between the job and not, more pay vs less, whatever. It's like if you're in IT and have good social/interpersonal skills - you want to put that out there because there are so many in the field that do not.

Now, to answer your actual question, I haven't used it. I wouldn't pay for that, though. I'd suggest Google Docs, using a free template of your choice.

So you're the mythical use case that has everyone all worked up. Mobile apply is the theme of the year for all the big ATS providers, and companies like Jibe are making a living off the premise that this is the wave of the future.

Well, rest assured that an entire industry is concerned that you're in this position and is spending a few million dollars to solve this problem.

Doubtful. The mobile market will continue to grow mostly in the entertainment and casual use sector but not in the productivity sector. As you demonstrate in your OP when there is "real work" to be done a mobile device doesn't cut it.

You are a bartender bro, show them your Curious George tat, then suck their dick like it.

You will have a job.
