Anyone use the ASUS PSU Calculator?

I'm in the market to buy a new PSU. Since I have an ASUS mobo, the ASUS P5N-E SLI, I was browsing on their website at their CPU compatibility chart and noticed they had a PSU calculator. So according to their calculator, I need a 900w PSU (screenshot below) My specs are:

Q6600 B3 2.4Ghz
2 x eVGA 8800GT 512MB SLI
2 x 2GB sticks of DDR2 667RAM
2 x 2 SATA 320GB HD in RAID 0
1 DVD-R/CD combo drive
2 x USB devices (keyboard and mouse)
2 x case fans

900w just seems way to high for me. The other popular PSU calculator that everyone uses, I can't remember the URL right now extremeTech or something, but it put me at like 345w for my setup. How can these calculators be so far off? One seems way to low and the other seems way too high.

Finally, what PSU would you recommend that I buy? Thanks in advance!

No one needs a 900-1000W PSU unless you're running dual cpu socket quad cores with dual GTX 280s and powering a mini beer fridge.

I would get a good 500-550W for that setup.
And I agree, according to every single PSU calculator I've ever encountered, my PC is not able to run.

Edit:
Actually, doing a quick google for these things turned up this link:
http://web.aanet.com.au/SnooP/psucalc.php

It seems reasonably accurate, but as I'm only one test case, I can't say if that's true or not.
Anyway, I plugged in my values and it reported a max sustained power draw (while gaming) of 227W, which is pretty darn close to the measurement made with a killawatt. Yes, I know the killawatt is inaccurate, but it can't be THAT far off.

Thanks for that link that PSU calculator seems like the best one I've come across. According to it, generic brand PSU I'd need about a 480w and "decent" PSU I'd need around a 430w. I'm currently using a Rosewill 600w PSU but everyone tells me its not enough and that its a garbage crap PSU. I'm thinking of yanking it and selling it and getting something stronger.

Depends on which Rosewill it is. I remember someone on a forum posting they had a Solytech built Rosewill...and Solytech is garbage. Other ATNG built Rosewills are ok. I wouldn't get a "generic PSU" for any application, certainly not a 480W generic for 8800GT SLi. I would say a good 550-600W would do you well....Corsair HX550, Thermaltake Purepower RX 600
