I watched part of that. I used to live in Sublette County, Wyoming. I'm not surprised that the air has gotten so fouled there. BIG gas/oil producing area...environmental regs either ignored or put on hold because of the jobs and money this industry brings into the area.

I saw the guy who made it on the Daily Show. It made quite an impact to see a guy holding a lit match next to his running facet and have a ball of fire erupt.

It just pains me to see how much we've let corporations run the country to the point where they can get away with almost anything for the desire of higher profits.

The government is in bed with the oil and gas industry like a cheap whore on payday...and for the same reasons...money.

I was in Wyoming in the mid 80's for the Exxon LaBarge Gasification Project. When it was built, it was the world's largest gas processing plant, primarily built to extract CO2, but also trace gasses as well. (argon, helium, etc.)
The drill rigs were environmental disaster areas. The "frac pits" always had dead birds in them and it wasn't uncommon to find dead deer in them as well.

It scared the crap out of me. It's not a question of if, but a question of when a major source of water for a large area like a city gets contaminated.
