Wife still likes it, so we will keep watching it. I'm still with the show too, but for me it's just a silly genre piece, so I was not necessarily expecting that much, unlike some of you it seems.

Yes they did...

It went from being suspenseful to even my wife looking at the TV and shouting "Really?"... It is one thing to have some artistic BS in the plot... but when they are not even doing things in the show that offer a shred of reality to the real world... then they lost us.

Example... When they are closing in on the farm... If the FBI was truly involved there would be helicopters, local LEO's out in force, all roads blocked... They would have swarmed...

...And the following would only have one season.

When they do shit like that in the Walking Dead, at least the whole premise of the series is based in fantasy so you can give the writers and directors a pass.

it was silly after the 2nd or 3rd episode. the show would have been fine as a ~12 episode series but noooo they want to see how long they can stretch it.

The Following is presented as some ultra-serious drama, but it's actually just 24, which was like a comic book, so it kind of worked.

Its getting better. I finally caught up after missing the last 6 episodes.

I still don't understand why one of the FBI agents didn't turn out to be a Follower. I was for sure it was going to happen. I thought it was the chick, but it turned out not to be.

These Followers are crazy for sure, though.

And LOL at them getting rid of the second black FBI agent on the show. The first one the killed in the first episode. Now, this guy is on his way out too.

Yeah, me and the SO make jokes about how there can be 50-60 LEO's around and the specific 1-2 are members and they get away...rofl, so stupid.

It has lost the suspenseful effect to it ... but i'll see how the second season goes, my guess it'll be dead after that though.

We're done with it after tonight's finale. KB's a favorite but the writing (24 Lite) killed this show for us.

I thought the first couple episodes were great...went downhill from there though. I might watch the premiere of next season, but probably won't watch after that.

I will be honest - I sat through the whole season to see the ending. The pilot of the show was promising and suspenseful. Later questions started to pile up as the show took a dive to being a complete crap:
- Why would a group intelligent people (or appeared to be intelligent) can be so easily manipulated?
- Why is the FBI so incompetent?
- Why is the local police force so stupid? If you knew there are dangerous suspects in the area, wouldn't you be more cautious pulling people over? Taking cover, anyone? Maybe, wear a bullet proof vest?
- Why are SWAT members cannot shoot straight and only Ryan (Bacon) can nail a bastard?
- Why did the evacuation building look like a bee hive with all the people moving randomly in all possible directions? My head started spinning just looking at that scene.
- Why can Ryan walk away from executing a tied down 'follower' without being put, at least, under an administrative leave?
- How many times a person can be stabbed and still live?

The ending ... I don't think I can tolerate it any more. There are better shows there. Heck, I'd rather watch a Canadian made "Continuum" season 2.

I got sick of everyone being a follower. It just allowed way too many plot changes.
No matter how close he is to catching him, BAM, another follower is an insider and messes it up.

Literally everyone close to Kevin is a follower. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone on the entire show ends up being a follower before it is over.

MustISO are you one of the writers? How did you know about the knife angle? This is the only show OTA (I will never pay extra for Television) that I always watch, then record and watch a second time. The writing, acting and plotline are riveting.
The bumbling officers are just the writers reflection of real life.

The first lot of episodes from the first season were good enough to keep watching but then the show quickly devolved to boringness. Lots of repetition.

The massive stupidity of law enforcement goes way beyond the realm of acceptable possibility.

The show jumped the shark a long time ago and should be cancelled.
