I've been looking for a quality shoe for my wife and came across Mizunos on Amazon. I'm shocked at how good the reviews are! Oddly, I haven't heard of Mizuno since wearing their baseball cleats many many years ago.

After swearing I'll never wear New Balance again after countless fit issues, this brand looks very interesting.

I eventually got my wife these for $32. They say volleyball but she just needs something for indoors that's comfortable, stable, and doesn't break down quickly, and I'm hoping these work (we tried similar ones on at dicks sporting goods.)

i wear mizuno running shoes. They're a japanese shoes company similar to asics.

I am curious what was the model of the NB you tried on that is giving you fit issues?

I thought Mizuno was Italian? I've owned several pair. Now I've switched to minimalist running shoes and my Mizunos are gathering dust.

In the last buncha years, I've had the 992's, 1012's, and a cheaper one like 610's or something like that. All of them bother me at the widest point of the foot, the bone beneath the pinky toe (pinky toe? yeah lets call it that) Seems like a width issue but I've gotten extra wide shoes and they just fit my right foot all wrong.

I never had a problem back in the day of running track and training in new balance, but as an older adult, it's been 100% futile trying to maintain my endearment to them.

Oh ok.

Hey what gauge electrical wire is used for the cigarette lighter on a 1992 Toyota Corolla CE?

watch out guys, we got a Japanese over here.

Lol, crackin me up

I wore them quite a bit a few years back so this is based on old experience. They are nice, but not durable. Myabe they are nice because they are not durable.

I have some Mizuno Wave Riders and I really dig on them. Comfortable and have held up for some pretty good mileage.

Running shoes aren't meant to be worn for every day use, unlike Nike and others.

How is that a helpful statement? Nike makes running shoes too. You can wear them daily without issue. Wearing them daily wears down the cushioning and reduces the mileage before you have to replace them, but they're perfectly fine for everyday use.

the nb 992 is more of a walking shoes than a running shoes. That is one of NB top of the line shoes.

Running shoes are a highly personal thing in terms of fit and ride, but I would put Mizuno up with Asics and NB as a high-quality manufacturer. When I was a heavy runner I used Mizunos for a while before resolving that Asics just worked best for me.

I use the exact same model and they've been good for me. As with all running shoes, fit is the key. I suggest trying them out in the store (and actually run in them). Try as many brand / models till you find the best fit.

I bought a pair of Mizuno trail running shoes because they had great ratings. I don't remember what model but I took them back after one run. It's better to try on different brands and ignore the ratings.
