Anyone with Cendyne RMA experiences?

Has anyone ever RMA'ed a drive to Cendyne?

I had a Lightning IV (the Optowrite one) die in January, so I contacted Cendyne through their tech support form. A few days later, they responded asking for my name, address, phone number, etc (things that are oddly on the original tech support form) and that they could replace my drive with the 48x Lite-On model, per my request. However, I haven't heard a peep from them since 01/19, after dropping them two notes over the past two months.

Does anyone have a phone number for Cendyne? I can't find one on their site...

Actually, I dug up the manual and found it.

(714) 437-7039

I'll give them a call tomorrow and hopefully I'll have a 48x Lite-On coming my way.

Okay, I called them yesterday and the guy on the phone seemed shocked that they haven't emailed me back since January and gave me an RMA number right away. Now I just have to ship them the drive.

I did a little research for model numbers and wrote them a letter to go inside the box asking specifically for my crappy Optowrite drive to be replaced with the Lite-On version of the Lightning IV. Hope it works!

I RMA my Cendyne Lightning IV drive last month (darn drive tray wouldn't open). Their service was fast for me - the turnaround time was about 10 days. Only thing is that the RMA drive they gave me was a Verbatim drive (Same speed) but I don't think its a repackaged lite-on. Oh well, the Cendyne drive I sent in wasn't a lite-on either. As long as it works I'm fine with that.

Well yeah, I'm not really worried about it either. The broken one I have isn't a Lite-On, but I may as well ask and try to get one. I'm just going to turn around and sell it over in FS/FT since I bought a 48x TDK in the meantime.

I got the RMAed drive today, and its a BenQ 4816P, which after some research seems to be the same as saber800's Verbatim drive. I guess anything is better then that Optorite piece of crap I had.

Off to FS/FT for this...
