i've got a 2002 Altima SE and cannot for the life of me, figure out how to remove the headlight assemblies to change the bulbs. help???

mechanics @ the dealerships won't divulge the info and say that i've got to bring the car in to have the assemblies removed. i'm not dropping $65-75 just to change some friggin' lightbulbs.

not yet available for new 2002 Altima

and in case anyone is going to ask/suggest, instructions for removing the assembly are not in the owner's manual. in fact, it says to go to the dealership to have it removed.

I understand you dont wanna pay 60 bux but its brand new car, if you could afford it you can afford the lights as well

Did you check your Owners manual?? They should say how to change lightbulbs.

Alternately you can check www.altimas.net and ask them.

not if the original bulbs are still under working condidtion....
i assume he is installing aftermarket light bulbs...

the stock bulbs are fine; a friend got me a set of PIAAs as a gift. unfortunately he can't figure it out either.

You shouldn't have to take the assembly off the car - the bulbs should be clipped into the back of the assembly and all you have to do is find out where and unclip it. Then you can just replace the bulb.

no go... i'll take some pics tomorrow to demonstrate the situation.

a 2002 and the headlight is burnt out? I would take that piece of crap back to the dealer and make them fix it.
