I recently bought the above monitor and can’t seem the find the “low input lag mode” AOC advertises that is has.

My previous AOC monitor has this option and it is found under the game settings on the OSD. On this new screen there is NO option at all. I’ve attached a picture for reference.

Worth noting that on the user manual there is also no option for low input lag mode. But then why is AOC advertising this option for this screen on their website under the specification? I’m close to returning the monitor unless anyone can point me in the right direction to try get this activated. The response time is night and day between this monitor and my previous AOC monitor which actually had low input lag mode.

My set up is PS5 to AOC.

The reason why you don't have that option is fairly simple.

You do not need it.

Monitors, unlike TVs do not need low latency modes, they work out of the box with lowest latency possible. There is no processing added that would require separate low-latency mode.

Doesn’t make sense. My other AOC monitor has it, as does plenty other AOC monitors.

The low input lag mode turns off frame buffering. It certainly makes a difference for online experiences.

A quick google search will show you that AoC gaming monitors should have this feature. Mine does not.

Based on my reasearch which are reviews with input lag measurements:
input lag without the low latency mode does not appear to be out of ordinary.

My Gigabyte G24F never had low-input lag mode. Was your previous monitor sub-100 Hz monitor?

Yeah, so I’m right? I will experience lag without this setting?

Also, is the monitor supposed to have it? If you go on AOC website and type in the specific model, it has it as an option.

Previous model was: 24G2ZU which had the low input lag mode.

Why won't you try and tell for yourself?

Why did you downgraded your monitor? 24G2ZU was 240 Hz, this is 165

Try and tell what? I said in original post there is a night and day difference between the two monitors. The game I play is max 60FPS but lag is still notable between the two monitors during online play.

I’m just trying to find out information as to why it doesn’t have this function when it clearly says it does on the AOC site. I’m not tech savvy with monitors so I’m trying to get some help.

I didn’t downgrade rather added another for downstairs as I have two PS5’s. I chose this option as it was on offer and ticked all the boxes for what I play. I believe PS5 is max 144hz anyway so it was surplus to my requirements anyway.

I think it might be best to reach out to AOC and see what they have to say.

If you notice more lag and there is no setting anywhere, then the website probably just has a clerical error of copy/pasting specs from some other monitor that has that feature.

I too would contact them, not expecting the feature to magically appear on the settings menu (lol) but rather to inform them that the specs on the webpage are wrong, and then I'd return it to seller for a refund.
