The hilarity of the defenders here is quite comical - everything from whataboutism to "SEE! Here is how much it cost my wife!" As if that is any sort of defense for folks in the bottom 50%.... The irony is that everyone here is in the top 5%. You're proving the point if anything lol.
Yes, everyone is super rich and out to get the "bottom 50%". That's freaking hilarious if it wasn't so damn wrong, and stupid.
I haven't paid to have my hair cut in 20 years. Still, I'd find it !@#$ing absurd to hear that someone paid more than 20-40 dollars. But then it is explained to us, in this thread, that wealthy people do this thing called hair coloring. AOC, at such a young age? That's... odd. But people have DEMONSTRATED with EVIDENCE that this sort of thing... hair coloring and all.... is perfectly normal in our society.
Would you join us in acknowledging the facts? Such as... what AOC did is normal? Or should we just stop thinking and hate on people who have money?
Suggested thread title: Damn, so that's what it's like not to be poor...
I expect the "bottom 50%" to know who is fighting for them to have more. And who is fighting for them to have less (trickle down). And I hope they'd tell the difference between friend and foe, however much the propagandists attempt to lie and tell them otherwise. We socialists need no defense on the subject, our policy for people speaks for itself.
What about you, what do you speak for? This topic suggests hating or at least demeaning people who have money. You used the word "socialist" as if AOC shouldn't have money. I think I learned in elementary school how to divide something in half. Let's see... if we taxed billionaires at 50%... yup... most of them would still be billionaires. And every last one of them would still be stinking rich. With Basic Income, Healthcare, Housing, and the freaking kitchen sink thrown in for everyone. Literally every single person, in exchange for a 50% tax.
Surprise, even something as simple as basic math suggests that under, (what would you call my policy?) we'd still have MANY happy people with tons of wealth. We'd just also have the "bottom 50%" who would get to enjoy a guaranteed home, healthcare, basic sustenance and more. This nation is filthy rich, maybe it's time we helped people like AOC share that wealth, and not smear them for trying to help people.
