no kidding.. wtf do you expect from them? Sounds like they did what they could to accomodate you - start packing your sh!t and eat at mceedee's for a couple days.

i'd pack up all my stuff today so it's ready to move... and stay somewhere else for the next week. prolly easier for me since i'm a stay at home mom... but no way would i have my baby living in an apartment that's damaged like yours.

oh, try to get everything in your agreement in writing. You dont want them finishing in a couple days and deciding that 'nope, its done. Your not moving anymore'

We have paid the deposit for the new place, but we dont really have a transfer in writing, guess we need to do that.

Do you have apt. insurance? Generally, the landlord is responsible for the place, but you are responsible for the contents. You'll need to get your stuff cleaned or replaced because of the mold & contaminent issues.

How much is it worth to you to stay healthy? Find a cheap place to stay for the week - friends, relatives, motel? Sleep in your car?

Glad you're getting moved to the new place, sounds like you have an okay landlord. Good luck, hope it works out for you.
