Edit - Looks like the TV is no longer available online. Check with your local B&M for possible pricematch with online rebate for $150 - $25 = $125 + tax otd. TV is on sale this week (7/6 - 7/12) according to the circular.

Rebate form here.

First deal. Please be nice.

Saw this for $150 in this morning's ads. Was getting ready to go check it out when I decided to look at it online. There's a $25 rebate from Best Buy on the web site. While they're slow getting back to me, I've never NOT received a rebate from them.

I found a thread about this TV for $250, so this seems like it's definitely worth it for the bedroom. Only problem for me is should I use it instead of my nine year old Daewoo 25" TV in the living room?! Don't really want to go with a smaller picture, but the component input is attractive.

Edit: Looks like the rebate is for online only :-(. But free shipping, so it comes out the same! I just prefer coming home with something in hand! Still going to the store to check out the quality and to see if they have a rebate form there. Does BB.com allow in-store pickup as a shipping option?

great deal. I just ordered mine. Have to wait till the end of July for delievery. Hope they don't cancle my order.

Yes, they do allow you to pick up from your local BB, if it is in stock there. But this is going to be quite a bit weight. Why not let BB deliver? You can place online order first and go to local store to check out quality. If you don't like it, come back cancle the online order. But what do you expect for $125? This TV is well worth $250. $125 is a steal! I placed my order within 5 minutes after I read your thread.

I live in a third floor apartment. Since UPS leaves things at the management office while I'm at work, I'm still going to have to carry it from the office to my building, and then up two flights of stairs. If I bring it home, I can do when I'm ready, plus I can park right next to the building. There are advantages both ways, but I think I'll do it on my terms. But you've convinced me to just order this. I've seen and liked the 20" Flat Apex, so this should be even better.

BB let you choose the exact date and a 4-hour time slot for delivery. I can make myself available at home for 4 hours. So it worked out for me. I don't want to carry this, although I am on second floor. I don't think it will even fit in my trunk or on the back seat. Thanks for posting the deal. I love Apex.

Damn. Too late!

Now I'm worried about getting it into my Alero. I know it won't fit in the trunk, but I was hoping for the back seat. I'll probably have to take it out of the carton. I've moved my 25" Daewoo a million times just in the back set of my car. The carton presents a big problem. I think I'll try to call and change the shipping. I can always work from home for a morning. How do they ship? If UPS, does UPS carry up stairs?

all carriers take the stuff upstairs. Besides, I don't think BB is using UPS on this deal. There is no way they can arrange the exact date and time slot for delivery through UPS.

Carefull about buying it online (with a rebate) and then picking it up in store, I did this with a hard drive and was denied the rebate because of the instore pickup..

Otherwise this looks like a good deal.

I just called and talked to a BB rep. She said as long as I have the email confirmation with the order number, that will prove that it was purchased online, and therefore the rebate will work.

Must resist! :frown:
If only TV cards' video in quality was great... I'd only use a TV for playing video games anyways.

Sounds like a good deal. I bought a 20" flat screen Apex a few months ago, and I really like it. Only problem with it is that the Composite inputs don't work that well. S-video and Coax (and the L/R stereo inputs) all work beautifully, but running something through the Composite inputs produces a dark picture with a cross-hatch pattern on it. I ended up buying replacement cables for my Game Cube & PSOne so that they'd have s-video in, and then getting a little switch box so that I could run everything through the single s-video input on the back. Works great!

Hmm, looks like a good deal.

Just wondering where you are getting the $125 price from. Are you taking the $150 store price, and then adding the online rebate to it? It is listed as $199 on the site, am I missing something, or did they change it?

It's $150 with free shipping. Plus a $25 mail-in rebate.

Tried ordering online today, was afraid they would be all out.. went to the store and they had about 5 left.. bought one in the store because $150 is still a good deal.. then bought 2 online for instore pickup but they haven't confirmed yet and they close in 10 minutes so I'm hoping to get 2 tomorrow and return the one we bought today at full price..

In case anyone cares, 90 day warrenty for parts and labor, 1 year warrenty for parts (except remote control), and 2 year warrenty on the picture tube (the thing that is most likely to go)... You can also get a 4 year extended warrenty for $30 but we opted not to... It's a VERY nice TV for an exceptional price..

Just got mine home. I should preface this by saying that I've never had a quality TV. I like this. I had to fuss with the picture settings a lot b/c the factory settings, and the preprogrammed ones for TV and movie just bleed the colors badly.

I've never used component video. Can I just use any quality three-way RCA cable set? Hell, I've never used S-video. I'm using this to replace my 1994 25" Daewoo mono TV with RF-in as my main television. The loss in size is negligible vs. the hopeful increase in picture quality from the component video.

I can finally ditch the RF modulator!

Wow, that is fast! You sort of make me want to pick up one from local BB instead of waiting till July 31. Is it heavy? I heard some people say that their local BB couldn't print out the $25 rebate so they just took $25 off the bill staright. Is that the case?

Thanks for the post. I just ordered one and the first available delivery date is 8/1. For those who are doing store pickup, can you comment on quality? Thanks!

This is about 3 lines down on the rebates listed terms and conditions....Good luck
In-store rebates are valid on in-store purchases only. BestBuy.com rebates are valid with online purchases only.

I just ordered online for $149.99 and chose in-store pickup. I'll send the rebate in.

It's not as heavy as I expected. I carried it up the steps by myself, but I'm a pretty big guy. 77lbs. according to their web site. It's their "Premium" Flat line as opposed to their normal flat line. At least according to the site.

It's not bad quality, but, as I've said, I have no experience with high-end TVs.
