Nooo! Apex= total crap. Lots of us warned people not to do the $400 Apex thing- just look at the number of defective units over in FW for a laugh.

If you're going to spend that much, get a low-end RPJ HDTV. They're <$1k now. Sam's and Costco have a few different brands- I've seen Samsung, Philips and a few Toshiba units in that price range.

Wag, you are correct. Apex TV's are cheap pieces of junk. Their defect to good ratio is outrageous for a TV manufacturer and the build quality is poor. With TV's like Panasonic and Toshiba at around $1000 it's foolish to spend $800 on an Apex.

I got in on the 43" Apex deal... $460 delivered with a 1 year parts&labor warranty.

Gotta tell ya, I'm not regretting it one bit - the pic is better than most non hdtv's I see in BB or Sears - without me having tuned it yet.

lmao...you must not have very good eyes

the apex only has a 2dyc, as apposed to the 3dyc that any decent tv will have. We sell this model at the store that I work at for $799 every day. I have only seen one person actually want to buy it in the year that we have carried this model. As far as your one year parts and labor warranty, try having someone service it. Noone within 200 miles of me will service that tv.

If you want to spend a grand on a tv, look the the 30" Samsung 16x9 HD set. Smaller, but 10x the picture, and a reputable brand.

Even if the APEX works, the picture quality is awful! About on par with sets made 30 years ago. If this thing looks good to you, you need to make an appointment for an eye exam. Not with Dr. Apex, either.
