The Genica Kalua does not have a "shuffle" function at all. The Apex's do, but guess what? They shuffle the *same* way every time. So if you put the disk in a day later and hit "shuffle," you'll recognize the same order being played again.
I believe the AD-600A is better than the AD-660 because the AD-600A will play anything I throw at it, while the AD-660 must have mp3's burned a specific way or it won't work. Also, the AD-660 that I owned failed to recognize any of my CDRW's (different brands, such as Acer and Memorex).
The AD-600A also has Component Video Output and it has Karaoke. So, for $50 less (or is it $30 now)....I don't know. I just like it better. Just me though, one individual.
